A business twice as profitable — and far less dependent on you.
I work alongside founders to turn decades of expertise into durable assets: the IP, pricing, and systems that make a company measurably more valuable, and meaningfully easier to run.
I’m not a coach. I build the things.
Most founders have built something genuinely valuable — deep expertise, a trusted name, a body of work no competitor could replicate. What they rarely have is the time, or a partner, to turn all of that into assets that compound. On retainer and embedded alongside the owner, that’s the work I do.
Durable IP & digital assets
Turn a body of work into searchable, productized, sellable assets — new products and premium tiers built from what you already know.
Value-based pricing
Rebuild pricing around the value clients actually receive — not hours billed or last year’s rate card.
Growth & independence
Open new markets and build the systems that let the company grow — and run — without depending on you.
As Chief Strategy Officer at Royall & Company (now EAB), I helped grow a small firm into the dominant player in higher-education enrollment management — and watched, in real time, how durable IP, value-based pricing, and disciplined growth compound into a company worth far more than the sum of its work. That’s the playbook I now run alongside founders.
Embedded alongside you — not advice from the sidelines.
On retainer, inside the business
I work as a partner to the owner, not a vendor delivering a report. The tools, the IP, the pricing, the systems — I build them with you and hand them over working.
Aimed at enterprise value
Every engagement targets something measurable: a company that’s more profitable, less dependent on its owner, and worth more to a buyer or to you.
Built to last past the engagement
The goal is a business you could sell at a premium — or keep and run with a lighter load and a healthier margin. Either way, the value stays after I’m gone.
Three decades turning expertise into enterprise value.
My career has circled one idea: that a body of work, priced and built right, becomes an asset worth far more than the work itself. I first saw it in government — writing policy for Governor L. Douglas Wilder’s history-making campaign — and then lived it for seventeen years as Chief Strategy Officer at Royall & Company (now EAB), helping build a small firm into the category leader and earning co-inventor status on all five of its digital-method patent applications.
Today I bring that same discipline — durable IP, value-based pricing, and disciplined growth — to founders and CEOs who’ve built something valuable and want to turn it into something they can sell high, or run light.
I bring the same approach to nonprofits, foundations, and mission-driven enterprises — helping leaders and boards build the tools, donor relationships, and revenue systems that let a mission grow on its own terms.

If you’re a founder or CEO thinking about what your company could be worth — and how much lighter it could be to run — I’d like to hear about it.
